Wow!!! Come hungry, because the portions are GENEROUS! Super friendly staff, great food, the chicken fried steak is the best I have ever had. One of our party had a Reuben which was also excellent. All around a great diner, with lots of parking and easy access from 84. Highly recommended.

Driving from California to Montana we stopped here for breakfast. The food was good, service was excellent. Our waitress April made us feel like family. Stop by if you are in the area. Biscuits and gravy were awesome!

The world record for nursing a cup of coffee was probably set here..... This is the old, been there forever, Lewis and Clark stopped here to eat, dinner in historic downtown Twin Falls (ever notice how every small town has a "historic" downtown?). It's nothing fancy but the food is decent and the prices are good. I used to come in every Sat night/Sun morning after an evening of driving cab. I always ordered the same thing. So, after a while, the waitresses just know not to bother with a menu. One of their waitresses just won the local paper's reader's poll for best waitress or something like that. If you go in at 5-6am any day of the week, you'll see Bubba, Jethro, Duke and Jimbo all seated at the counter in their overalls and mesh backed fishing caps drinking their cup of coffee for 2-3 hours and talking about "the good old days". If you go in at 2am on Sat or Sun you'll see all the drunks who should've gone home already but just cant deal with the fact that the party is over so they gotta try to stretch it out over a plate of hash browns, toast and bacon. Oh, once I turn the phone off count my money and order my meal, I'm NOT giving you a ride home - call the other guys!! One guy did push a $100 bill in front of me to take him to Kimberly at 3am - I made an exception in his case..."Waitress!! Can I get that to go?!" So, it aint a five star kinda joint. It's a small town cafe with small town cafe level food. But I could get a grilled ham and cheese, fries, coke and a slice of punpkin pie and leave a tip with just a 10 dollar bill. I can live with dem dere prices.

Ok. Here's the low-down from me. Depot Grill has been in existence for close to 100 years. It's a very old diner complete with the long bar with single seats. And yes, you totally get the 65 year old farmer with overalls (like one reviewer mentioned) and muddy boots at said long bar with the single seat. It is one of those places. DO NOT expect exotic food or food that wins awards. DO expect the waitress with a pencil in her hair and a pot of coffee in one hand. I've been here a zillion times and every time I get the same: decent service, old-fashioned greasy, tasty food, and plenty of smiles and, "can I getcha' anything else, hun?" Price for what you get is what you'd expect for a place like this. Overall, the food won't knock your socks off, but it should be satisfying. One quick story: A few years ago I ordered a steak sandwich. What did I get? Two pieces of bread with a slab of steak in the middle. No lettuce, no onions, NOTHING. All I did was laugh through the meal, but it was good. I mean, a piece of steak and two pieces of bread DOES equal a steak sandwich, right? Anyway, I'd go there any day of the week.

Ehhhhhh... even if I lived here I probably wouldn't come here very often. We were here on a Sunday and the first two spots we were hoping to eat at were closed. There was absolutely nothing that looked interesting and the food that I had was forgettable. The service was good and I wasn't particularly pissed off about my meal, but we were hungry, desperate, and pretty much pulled into the first parking lot that wasn't empty.

Yummy, Yummy Yummy! Good home style dinner. Comfort food and a friendly place. Good stuff.

Old fashioned good food. The interior reminds you of days gone by and the place is always full of local folk enjoying a meal and cup of coffee. It's the kind of place dad took when you were a kid. The fried chicken is awesome and comes in a basket or as a meal. I love to eat breakfast here. The pancakes are delicious and the bacon is cooked to perfection. My son always eats the chicken fried steak - which is a huge plate sized steak. Skip the chain restaurants and eat at an old local establishment.

What can one say about Twin Falls' dining? It sucks... The ONE place that got decent reviews is a relatively new sushi bar. Of course, it was closed as we passed through town on the way to depositing my eldest at her summer job in Jackson Hole, WY. So we took a chance on the Depot Grill because - I swear - there is nothing but chain restaurants and fast-food outlets in this town. Sorry, but the fried chicken was not "awesome." It had a nice crust, but the bird itself was watery and flavorless. My daughter's open-face turkey had two pieces of bread and one slice of turkey. Altho the dutch apple pie was quite nice. Would I return? Prolly, as it is the ONLY place open after 9pm (which is the time we get there after driving all day from Sacramento). I don't want to diss this place. They were very nice and appear to be the best game in town. But, for Gawd's sake, what kind of people are you in TF? Don't you enjoy good food? I'd say it would be a good town to open a decent restaurant, but I'm not sure if anyone would actually pay any money for something other than KFC in this burg.

This old-school diner is a refreshing change of pace from the mega chain restaurants that have come to dominate Twin Falls. This isn't gourmet, but it is tasty and cheap. Dad and I ate here and a club sandwich, chicken-fried steak, and piece of very tasty blueberry pie was under $20. The smorgasbord in back makes for some eye-popping people watching if you come from a health conscious area like I do...

Took the family for Sunday breakfast....very dissapointing. Service was very poor and the food quality was way off the mark. They're loosing their touch.

Only place we found to be open upon coming into town. Plus: they are open 24 hours. Fried chicken was tasty. Server was attentive. Minus: the chicken fried steak tasted like flour and the gravy was thin and flavorless. The mashed potatoes needed a spoon because they were so mushy.

The Depot Grill provides good honest food at a good honest price. The waitresses are always friendly and helpful, never with a bad attitude. The customers are locals, they keep coming back! The omelets are amazing, you can create your own combination.

Having the El Bandigas soup. Really tasty so far. Had the fish n chips.. Tartar sauce was home made. Then had the custard pie. Extremely tasty with plenty of nutmag on top.

A customer to this restaurant a handful of times. The food has a good homemade taste. The menu selection is good and their reputation is good. The waitresses are generally pleasant and attentive. The restaurant owners would fair well with a bit of a redo on the interior and exterior.

Quality of food inconsistent. Went a couple of months ago for a burger and it was thick, juicy delicious with good fresh potato fries. Went again a couple weeks ago, ordered same burger. This time it was thin, dry, over cooked and fries were not from fresh potatoes. Was very disappointed.

This was not the hole in the wall I expected. Not fancy, but certainly comfortable enough. The portions were generous, and the prices were much cheaper than most. Very impressed with most of the food. My husbands depot burger looked awesome, and my raspberry chipotle chicken was yummy. As with anywhere, there were cons. The mashed potatoes were covered in the most disgusting gravy I have ever tasted. It was just butter and flour, and I could distinctly taste both. The mashed potatoes weren't great either. The service was good but not friendly. I think our waitress was just having a bad day. Overall, I would definitely recommend it if you are passing through Twin Falls. Open 24 hours, warm mostly tasty food, and the prices can't be beat. Two adults ate filling meals with a little leftover for less than $15 before the tip.

This is an old diner. Great service and nothing fancy on the menu. They have great breakfast, the pancakes are always awesome. This is the kind of place where everyone knows your name. It's a local favorite, not a place for tourists. You walk in and seat yourself. I love this kind of place. Comfortable and down home.

Good for the price. We eat here often. Big plus...they are open 24 hours and my bf and I almost always win something on the lottery tickets we buy here. :) The Depot burger is great. Fries and tots too!

I love the Depot, been coming there for 20 years when I am in town visiting my folks. Last week had their taco salad with grilled chicken that was marinated and cooked perfectly very juicy and seasoned perfectly..the best ever! Overall a solid old school diner with great food. If you want a solid meal in a classic diner ....don't miss it.
